Who we are
Marrowbone is a dog nutrition and wellbeing app. We help dog owners understand what their dog eats, track nutritional balance, and support their health and wellbeing. What information we collect
When you create an account and use Marrowbone, we collect:
Your email address, used to create and access your account.
Dog profiles you create, including name, breed, date of birth, weight, life stage, feeding goal, and allergy notes.
Meal logs you enter, including ingredients and gram weights.
Weight logs and activity records you add for your dogs.
Feedback and support messages you submit through the app.
Basic usage information to help us improve the service (e.g. which features are used most).
Technical and security information generated when you use the app, such as error information, request metadata, and service diagnostics.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide and operate the Marrowbone service.
Calculate nutritional estimates and feeding guidance personalised to your dog’s profile.
Respond to feedback and support requests.
Improve the service and introduce new features based on how it is used.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our infrastructure provider may temporarily process technical and security logs to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the app. Under our current hosting configuration, these logs are retained for up to 7 days.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers who help us operate the app, such as our cloud infrastructure provider, under strict confidentiality agreements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Data retention and deletion
We retain your data for as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your account and associated data from our active production systems. Encrypted disaster-recovery backups may retain copies of data for up to 7 days before they are overwritten in the normal backup cycle. Backup copies are used only for disaster recovery and are not used for ordinary app operations. Technical and security logs are retained for up to 7 days under our current hosting configuration.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to or restrict certain processing.

Children
Marrowbone is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you within the app. Continued use of Marrowbone after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
